The Mini is a long-running iconic small car in production from 1959 until 2000. Many variations of the Mini were produced, with the Cooper version being the performance model. Originally produced by the British Motor Corporation, the Mini brand eventually passed into the hands of BMW in 1994. The newer BMW generation featured here was first launched in 2001. This vehicle is located in Dubai, UAE as part of a car collection.
Traditionally, the sporty Mini Cooper has always been provided with a white roof to distinguish it from the other forms. The 2012 example featured here is no exception to the convention, but does introduce three different levels of performance ranging from base model to the turbocharged Cooper S and then the John Cooper Works racer-type.
Hugely popular and fun to drive, the range varies in power from 121 hp up to the 208 hp Works variant. Six-speed transmissions are standard, either manual or automatic, and ride quality and handling are very well regarded.
