This ultra-luxury four-seater convertible represents the upgraded second-generation version produced from 2006 to 2009, which features a highly updated engine, improved chassis and new model-specific transmission.
Produced at the Bentley factory in Crewe, the Azure boasts a level of interior finish of the very highest standard, including hand-crafted leather and wood features, it was also available in almost forty different body colors.
Receiving a new six-speed automatic transmission and a twin-turbocharger boost to its 6.7 liter V8 engine, even at its hefty curb weight of 2,695 kg, the Azure was still capable of accelerating to 60 mph in only 5.6 seconds and a top speed of around 168 mph. A true muscle car, albeit a somewhat heavier one.
At the time of production, this Azure model was the only four-seater convertible available in the $300,000 price range, since the newest Rolls Royce equivalent would not become available until a year later.
