The Land Rover Defender is an off road, four-wheel-drive utility vehicle developed from the original Land Rover Series sold in 1948. This 1999 Defender is located in Dubai, UAE.

From January 1999, the Land Rover Defender range was fitted with the new Td5 diesel engine. The five cylinder direct injection turbo diesel inter cooled engine was a design started by Rover Group in 1993.
The Land Rover Defender will be discontinued in 2015, essentially marketing the end of an era.
