The 550 is a two-seater Grand Tourer from Ferrari produced between 1996 and 2002. Provided in front-engine and rear-wheel drive configuration, the Pininfarina-styled 550 was the company’s highest end model at the time. Significant mechanical features on this model are the V12 engine of 5.5 liters displacement and the six-speed transaxle gearbox mounted at the rear.

Particular attention was given to the aerodynamics of this model, which resulted in a low drag coefficient of only 0.33 and a constant downforce over both axles. A real muscle car by nature, the 550 Maranello was capable of 0 to 60 mph in only 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. A roadster version named the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina was later introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2000, of which a total 448 were actually built.

As well as the standard upholstered leather interior, further luxury options were available from the “Carrozzeria Scaglietti” range of accessories.

This particular model is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as part of a luxury car collection.
