The BMW 850 Ci is two-door Grand Tourer coupé featuring a V12 engine powering the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic, or six-speed manual, transmission. This particular automobile is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as part of a magnificent car collection.
First introduced at the 1991 Frankfurt International Motor Show, the 850 Ci was built at BMW’s Dingolfing factory. BMW’s 8 Series represents their top-of-the-range flagship model aimed squarely at the executive segment of the market. Only 1,218 examples of this particular model have ever been built.
Features new to the 850 Ci include Servotronic variable assist power steering, which reacts to the actual speed of the car rather than engine speed. Another new addition is the electronic damping control, which adjusts the shock absorber setting to any change in load, road or driving condition.
The BMW 850Ci’s engine is a 5.4 liter, double-overhead camshaft V12, which produces 326 hp and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.
