The Carrera RS, part of a series known internally as the 964 at Porsche, belongs to a group of revised versions of the 911 produced between 1989 and 1994.
The classic RS model featured here was first introduced in 1992. Produced for the European market, its main features included super-lightweight construction and rear wheel drive as standard. Also new were increased power output of 260 hp from the standard engine and a lightweight flywheel coupled to a close ratio transmission.
With racetrack in mind, it also boasts stiffer suspension and a stripped out interior devoid of all luxuries. Bucket seats, aluminium hood and lightweight wheels complete the picture. Only 2,282 examples were ever built of this 162 mph Porsche.
