The Jeep Wagoneer was the very first luxury 4WD, with production running from 1963 to 1991. An SUV long before the term was even coined, the Wagoneer went on to enjoy the third longest production run in U.S. automotive history.

It offered features unheard of at the time in a vehicle of the type, such as independent front suspension, automatic transmission and power steering. Add to the list air conditioning, power brakes, power tailgate and a seven-position tilt steering wheel and we begin to see the revolutionary new ground being laid by the Jeep Wagoneer.

This later example from 1989 boasts the 5.9 liter V8 engine, three-speed automatic transmission and four wheel drive as standard. Owners were very happy with this SUV, which can drive anywhere in any weather. They also felt safe behind the wheel of this model, probably because it was built like a tank.

This vehicle is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates a part of a lovely car collection.
