The 502 is a full-size four-door saloon manufactured between 1954 and 1964. Very limited numbers of cabriolets and coupes were also produced in this time. The fastest German production car at the time, it boasts an eight cylinder engine and four speed manual transmission. This particular beauty is housed in Dubai, UAE as part of a Vintage Car Collection.
Nicknamed the ‘Baroque Angels’ for their silhouette and lines, the vintage 502 was capable of a top speed of 110 mph from its 158 hp engine.. This later model from one year before production ceased, boasts the factory upgrade of both servo and front disc brakes.
Of note for this particular model is that the engine represented the first post-war eight-cylinder to be produced in Germany, and also the first ever to be built by BMW. Added safety features include a shortened steering column and the fuel tank positioned above the rear axle for extra protection.
