The ZR1 is a high-powered supercar produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors between 2009 and 2013. The layout is two-door coupe with a front-mounted engine powering the rear wheels. Also nicknamed “The Blue Devil,” this model is based on the long-running Corvette C6, but with added features as well as a lightweight aluminium chassis and carbon fibre body panels. During the course of its short production run, only 4,684 examples were ever built.
The most prominent feature of this model is its ultra-powerful 6.2 liter V8 supercharged engine. Producing a massive 638 hp, the ZR1, with six-speed manual transmission as standard, is capable of 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. Other mechanical niceties include carbon-ceramic disc brakes all round, selective ride control and a dual-disc clutch.
The interior boasts lightweight seats and components, as well as a host of optional extras such as leather trimmed sport seats and a navigation system.
